“Isolator” A Bizarre Helmet For Concentration
In 1925, Science and Invention Magazine editor Hugo Gernsback designed the Isolator helmet to encourage focus and concentration by eliminating all outside noise.
Wearer’s vision was limited to a tiny horizontal hole allowing only one line of text to be seen at a time.
Isolator helmet was supplied with oxygen through a tube on the front.
Inventor of Isolator, Hugo Gernsback was a member of “The American Physical Society” and one of the pioneers of science fiction.
