In 1925, Science and Invention Magazine editor Hugo Gernsback designed the Isolator helmet to encourage focus and concentration by eliminating all outside noise. Wearer’s vision was limited to a tiny horizontal hole allowing only one line of text to be seen at a time. Isolator helmet was supplied with oxygen through a tube on the front.
Inventor of Isolator, Hugo Gernsback was a member of “The American Physical Society” and one of the pioneers of science fiction.
